We propose the creation of a new public-private partnership, the “Renaissance Campus,” to build two new sports stadiums in Chicago. The project also includes a new multi-modal transit hub and an upgraded rail line, with the goal of revitalizing the South Side and creating economic opportunities for residents. We advocate for the establishment of the Great Lakes Development Authority (GLDA) as a new entity with bonding authority to fund the project without raising taxes.
